Garlic Ginger Stir Fry Pea Microgreens

Ingredients

Featured Clayton Farms Greens: pea microgreens

  • 2 containers / 2 cups of Clayton Farms pea microgreens
  • 1.5 tablespoons canola oil or other neutral oil
  • 4-8 cloves garlic

Strir Fry Sauce

  • 1/3 cup of water
  • 1/3 cup of soy sauce or tamari
  • 1/4 cup of maple syrup
  • 1/4 cup toasted sesame oil
  • 1 tsp fresh grated ginger - dried ground ginger will work fine in a pinch
  • 1 tsp toasted sesame seeds

  • 1 tablespoons cornstarch or arrowroot powder
  • 2 tablespoons warm-hot water

Directions

The Stir Fry Sauce

  1. Just add all sauce ingredients together except the cornstarch or arrowroot powder and the 1.5 tablespoons of hot water. Set it aside nearby.
  2. Mince garlic cloves.
  3. Heat cast iron skillet or wok to med, add 1.5 tablespoons of canolla or other neutral oil
  4. Once oil is warmed after a minute, add minced garlic, raise heat to med/ high and let garlic brown for a minute or a minute and a half
  5. While garlic is browning, in a small bowl or cup, add together 1 tablespoon of corn starch or arrowroot powder and 2 tablespoons warm/ hot water, and stir vigorously to combine
  6. add pea microgreens to pan with garlic and stir for 1 minute, keep  the greens moving in the pan
  7. add 3 tablespoons of stir fry sauce (or to taste) to the greens
  8. add 1-2 tablespoons of cornstarch / arrowroot powder mix to the greens and stir greens
  9. quickly remove greens from the pan
